Description
A commemorative history of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Calais, Maine, written on the occasion of the centenary of its church building (1835–1935). The publication traces the origins of Methodism in the St. Croix Valley from the late 18th century, documents the formation of the Calais congregation, and provides detailed accounts of church construction, pastoral leadership, community activities, and institutional development over more than a century.
