Description
A shipping receipt from the Brooksville, Maine schooner "Ada Francis." The Ada Francis was sailing from Brooksville to Baltimore on September 1, 1862 with a cargo of granite. Blue paper, printed form with logo of Moses Hale, Stationer, Ellsworth and details handwritten in black ink on front side, and handwritten note on back side stating, "Bill of Lading, Sch Ada Francis, to Baltimore, Sept. 1, 1862. Paid $2.50 on the within freight."
