Due to the death of Harold E. Barnes, Sr. of Alton, a vacancy has been created. On the twenty-fifth day of February a Republican Town Meeting will be held for the Towns of Alton, Bradford, Charleston, Corinth, Edinburg, Glenburn, Hudson, Kenduskeag, and Veazie to nominate their candidate for the office of Representative to the Legislature and designate Monday, the twenty-sixth day of February, 1973, as the date upon which the Democratic Town Committees of Alton, Bradford, Charleston, Corinth, Edinburg, Glenburn, Hudson, Kenduskeag, and Veazie shall meet to nominate their candidate for the office of Representative to the Legislature to be voted upon at a Special Election to be held March 19, 1973.

You must warn all legally qualified voters to attend at the regular voting place in the Towns of Alton, Bradford, Charleston, Corinth, Edinburg, Glenburn, Hudson, Kenduskeag, and Veazie, on the third Monday in March, to attend for the purpose of giving in their votes for Representative to the Legislature, to represent these Towns in the One Hundred and Sixth Legislature.

On January 9, 1973 a meeting was held to nominate a candidate for Representative to the Legislature caused by the resignation of Allen J. Oulette of Van Buren. The candidate so chosen at the meeting did not accept the nomination and the Committee has requested that they be allowed to conduct another meeting- I designate Friday, January 12, 1973 as the date upon which the Republican Town Committees of Stockholm and Van Buren and the Plantations of Caswell, Cyr and Hamlin as that date.

Oullette of Van Buren, a member-elect of the House of Representatives, a special election will be held for all legally qualified voters to attend at the regular voting place in the Towns of Stockholm, Van Buren and the Plantations of Caswell, Cyr and Hamlin, in the County of Aroostook, on the fifth Monday of January, being the twenty-ninth day of said month, for the purpose of giving in their votes for a Representative to the Legislature, to represent said Towns of Stockholm, Van Buren and Plantations of Caswell, Cyr and Hamlin
