Description
While ice skating in Farmington in 1873, 15 year-old, Chester Greenwood. Complained that his ears were cold. Greenwood asked his grandmother to attach fur at the ends of a loop of wire that he could wear on his head. Chester Greenwood patented his earmuff design and the company founded to manufacture them stayed busy for the next 60 years.
