Becomes A World-Renowned Social Activist Including Serving As Superintendent Of Army Nurses For The Union During The Civil War Throughout Her Adult Life She Lobbies The States And Congress And Crusades For Improved Care And Better Hospitals For Prisoners The Disabled, And The Mentally Ill.
