Description
Entries include brief biographical information, a translated excerpt of Wilson's biography from her early correspondence typed by the Maine State Library, a typed letter from Wilson sent with a newspaper review clipping of her first published children's book The Red Dory, lengthy typed research correspondence for an adult book she was working on that does not appear to have been published, concerning the trial of David Lynn et al for the murder of land surveyor Paul Chadwick in what is now Windsor, Maine, typed letters presenting her children's books, a typed letter from children's book editor, Edith Patterson Meyer, on Abingdon - Cokesbury Press stationery presenting The Owen Boys for the Maine Author Collection, a newspaper book review clipping for His Indian Brother with a photographic portrait image of Wilson and some biographical information about illustrator, Robert Henneberger, typed correspondence of Wilson's books for children as presented to the Maine State Library for the Maine Author Collection, accounts of book jackets sent to enthusiastic young readers, and mention of her yearly position, teaching children's literature at George Washington University.
