Description
Town of Cumberland 1989 Comprehensive Plan outlines the town’s plan to deal with the direct and indirect impacts of development and growth that are responsible for various changes in Cumberland. The plan incorporates many of the goals and recommended actions established in the Town of Cumberland 1981 Comprehensive Plan. The changes and trends that this plan addresses include increased population growth; large-scale interior development; considerable land left for development; high cost of housing; cumulative impacts on groundwater; increased traffic volume; loss of open space and public access; and increased town/school spending.
