Attached summary reads, "A new ultra modern and automated fish processing plant is nearing completion at Moxie Cove in Round Pond, Me. and slated for an October opening. This plant is expected to become an important part of Maine's rapidly expanding shrimp industry which saw 21 million pounds landed last year. The new dock measuring 100 by 25 feet will be equipped with a vacuum unloading tube capable of transporting 30,000 pounds per hour. The plant contains shrimp peeling machines, a blast freezing unit, a storage freezer, stainless steel cookers and hydro food pumps."
A note on the back of the photo indicates that the plant is owned by Edward Thomas of Concord, MA.
