Letter from Horace Wright to wife Maryanne, writing from Martinsburg, Virginia. He describes Lyman Wright's experience in battle:

"He stood it first rate. Capt. says he is a brave boy. I ask him when I found him if he had got soldiering enough, he said no he wanted to go back and kill some of them women at Winchester that shot our men out of the windows..."
