Description

We have lots of fish, Maine's easy to reach and the accommodations are just what the doctor ordered… peaceful and quiet. Thes are the wonderful natural lures of Maine.

But the fisherman asks "What are the fish taking?" Here are some of the favorite lures of Bob Elliott, our noted outdoor writer and fisherman:

  • Brown Wolf – Brook Trout, April – September
  • Gray Ghost – Landlocked Salmon, April-September
  • Black Plug – Black Bass, June-August
  • Red and White Spoon – Mackerel, June-August
  • In the really big class, the Atlantic Salmon can be lured to smash at a Silver Doctor as it drifts into a pool on our excellent salmon rivers. Tuna are definitely partial to herring. Come to Maine this year. Bring your favorite lures and we know you'll have lots of fun. Send today for your FREE Maine Fishing Guide with all the dope about a real fishing state.
