Description
This former Boston and Maine #3009, a massive 2-10-2 was one of the largest steam locomotives operated by Maine Central. Built by Alco in 1923 this scene was captured just after WWII in Sept of 1947. This photo is from the Harold K. Volrath collection and is used with his kind permission. /DL
