Description
This massive 2-10-2 was built for the Boston and Maine by Alco in July of 1920 just after WWI and ran as B&M #3008 on that road. It was sold along with several sisters to the Maine Central in January of 1937 and subsequently scrapped in the summer of 1950. This photograph is from the Harold K Vollrath collection and is presented here with his permission. /DL
