Light Artillery - 7th Maine Battery

 

The 7th Maine Battery was mustered in for 18 months' service on December 30, 1863 and were mustered out on June 21, 1865. Of the men enrolled in the regiment, 3 were killed or died of wounds and 15 died of disease.

They served in the following engagements:

  • Wilderness, VA - May 5, 1864
  • Spotsylvania, VA - May 7, 1864
  • Ny River, VA - May 10, 1864
  • North Anna, VA - May 23, 1864
  • Cold Harbor, VA - May 31, 1864
  • Poplar Springs Church, VA - September 30, 1864
  • Franklin, LA - April 15, 1863
  • Port Hudson, LA - May 27 - July 9, 1863
