13th Maine Regiment

 

The 13th Maine Regiment was mustered in for three years' service on December 31, 1861, and were mustered out on January 6, 1865. Reenlisted men and recruits were transferred to the 30th Maine Regiment. Of the men enrolled in the 13th Regiment, 14 were killed or died of wounds and 181 died of disease. They served in the following engagements:

  • Aransas Pass, TX - November 17, 1863
  • Fort Esperanza, TX - Novembe 27, 1863
  • Pleasant Hill, LA - April 12, 1864
  • Morganza, LA - May 22, 1864
