Maine State library
Charles Bulfinch began work on the drawings for the Maine Statehouse in 1829. He based it on his earlier work on the Massachusetts State House. The Building was completed in 1832. It has been expanded and remodeled several times since then. The original drawings are housed at the Maine State Library.
