Willis Boyd Allen, 1855-1938) author and editor, born in Kittery Point, Maine, and resident of Boston, Massachusetts. Son of Stillman B. Allen, first Kittery lawyer. His mother's name was Edwards. Some of his books are in the Rice Public Library, given by Mrs. Miles Standish Watson of Newington, NH. He was the author of about 30 books and many articles for periodicals. Much of his writing was oriented toward children.
