Maine Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a bureau within the Maine Department of Public Safety. It was established by the Legislature to be the central agency responsible for the coordination and integration of all state activities concerning emergency medical services (EMS) and the overall planning, evaluation, coordination, facilitation and regulation of EMS systems.
