De L'Isle's seminal map of Canada, the Great Lakes, Rocky Mountain area, and Upper Midwest; one of the most important and influential maps of Canada published in the 18th Century.

Engraved map in outline color. Shows forested areas. Covers eastern Canada and the United States south to 39 degrees N. Incorporates Lahontan's imaginary features including the Pays des Gnacsitares and the Riviere Morte.
